My son and I visited on 12/31/16. A great way to start our trip along the Bourbon Trail and end to the year. The weather was terrible, but no one seemed to mind. The buildings were all decorated for Christmas which added to the experience. Our tour guide, Charles, was interesting and informative. I would recommend this stop to everyone.

The Maker's Mark Distillery is a little off the beaten path but well worth the search. The grounds are beautiful. The tour guides give an entertaining and very interesting overview of the history of their 'whisky' business and a hands-on outline of how the whiskey is made. Even the restrooms are beyond first class! We don't drink whiskey but found... More

We had a wonderful tour of Maker's Mark. Our Maker's Mark guide informed us of distillery history and process in a playful humor.

Have been there a number of times but this was the first time that I had the opportunity to visit the new Limestone whiskey cellar. Wow. A beautiful new building with a great purpose. Spend a little extra and take the "Beyond the Mark" tour.

What an amazing tour from beginning to end. The grounds, the tour and the service were all second to none. This was the first tour we did in Kentucky which made it a hard task of all others to live up too;which they did not. Little it's bits of information about how the red colour was picked, the bottle type... More

The Maker's Mark campus in Loretto is beautiful. It may be a bit over-produced but the space is wonderfully maintained and impressive. If you're looking to see a window into one of the major bourbon producers, this is a great choice. It may be a bourbon Disneyland, but once you get over that, it's well worth the affordable ticket price.

First impression-could not say we liked the ticket/entrance building, kind of a let down. The tour was very informative. Like the story behind the name, the "SIV" and the wax seal. The decor of the exterior of the buildings were consistent with the dark brown, red shutters and cream trim. The grounds feel like a park. The tour ended at... More

I had the opportunity to visit, once again, Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY, in order to participate in their annual Candlelight Tours. The Distillery is open to the public on two Saturday evenings in December, the 3rd and the 10th. On my visit on the third, we were treated to a picture with Santa, and then a self-guided walking...
