Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created.

The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat.

Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by!

If you are a baseball fan - GO! You can get a personalized bat (and some other stuff) while you wait. Batting cages! Lego-land. Not a bad way to spend an hour or two.

When in Louisville, this is a must! Great baseball history, along with a very nice, informative and interesting tour of the baseball bat factory. Get your photo taken with a famous bat (I used Mickey Mantle's bat) and view the history of the game along with the growth of the Louisville Slugger brand name from a small town wood working... My friends and I were walking around downtown and decided to stop in! LOTS of baseball history and activities inside like a batting cage and huge gift shop besides just the tour. Definitely get a custom Slugger made. Only took them 20min to custom mine and it's a perfect gift for the baseball fan in your family.

Kids loved it (9&11). Even my daughter. More focused on the production of the bat rather than baseball.

This is a great event in Louisville. It is an appropriate length of a tour (about 30 minutes) and you get to see many parts of the operation. The tour guides seem knowledgeable. There are some fun interactive things (pitching and seeing your speed and batting cages, etc) there as well. The best part is getting a personalized bat. A... More

The wife and I finally made the trip down for the tour and we loved it. All the workers were wonderful and helpful. We will be returning with our little one as soon as he is old enough.

We stopped here on our way to North Carolina coming from Kansas City. This place is awesome!! The tour was great and I learned a lot. The museum was beautifully put together and lots to learn. Great for a family vacation, couples, or just friends wanting something to do.

My husband couldn't wait to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum. Fortunately, it was within walking distance of our hotel. Once inside, he was like a kid in a candy shop. He scoped out the place and then we took the factory tour. He knows a lot about baseball, but he heard things he had never known before. Then, we learned... More

My husband & I did the tour and LOVED IT! Our guide was fabulous he provided so much history, passed many bats to see and feel. He made sure everyone got to see everything & involved the kids in the tour the entire time. The Lego room was amazing. I can't believe how people made the stadiums out of legos... More
