Great place to visit or go daily!

Beautiful Park. Great drive. In the winter, bundle up, go to a pavilion with a fireplace and stay warm.

I am so fortunate to live within a short distance from a beautiful gem in the crown of Louisville's public parks. Cherokee Park has so many opportunities, and it has something for park visitors of all ages. The park offers basketball and tennis courts, a picturesque golf course, a nice enclosed area for dogs, various play areas, and a walking/running... More

Cherokee Park is a wonderful place to spend the day with family or just you and your pet. The park has a dog park, but you'll want to walk it since it is a very friendly safe place. Beautiful homes surround the park with their historic value. Trails are easy or go into the hilly area's for more of a... More

A great place to observe wildlife and protected flora. It can get crowded during summer, but if you'd rather avoid too many people, go when the weather is cooler. There is still so much to see.

Excellent park for trails and playground equipment for the younger toddlers. We picnicked and let the little ones run wild over the playground. Very enjoyable couple of hours

There was almost no parking. I enjoyed riding around the scenic loop, but there were very few places to park. And those were parallel parking on the side of the road. I want to get out of my car and experience the beauty firsthand. I hate to say this, but you guys need to make space for a parking lot... More

In the eastern side of Louisville this lovely park is an oasis of serenity. Lovely Scenic Loop to drive, with joggers + walkers (with and without dogs) as well as bicyclists also having room. There are several places to pull over and park with picnic tables, playground equipment, bathrooms. Also covered area for big get together and a golf course.... More

I ran around the road which makes up the Scenic Loop around the park each morning on a vacation to Louisville. It is a safe and very pleasant place to run, walk or cycle. The road is one way with a low speed limit and one lane dedicated to the walkers, runners and cyclists. Whichever your method of getting round... More

I visit this park every Fall to take photographs of the changing leaves. Like many of the parks in the park system in Louisville, KY, Cherokee Park is laid out well and is impressive. From trails to hills to picnic areas, it's a great place to just hang out.
