Recommended by our tour guide, the Flame Run Glass Studio was a bit of a hidden gem for us as our focus was primarily on the bourbon! They have a great sitting area so you can watch the artisans work on their pieces. The studio is a short walk from the Frazier & Slugger Museum and definitely worth the trip!

You get to pick from a small variety of objects to create, don't worry you don't actually create it alone! Pick the item you wish to have as a keepsake, the colors, and make a reservation! You don't need to make a reservation, but keep in mind that it is better for everyone if you do! We had the privilege... More

We had a great time blowing glass today. Each of us choose our own project. It was kind of pricey and technically you just get to pick the colors and blow, but you're certainly in the middle of the creative process. And the finished product is very much "yours.". There's a real sense of, "I made that happen!". The staff... More

This was by far the best part of the trip. Mark was an excellent teacher and we had so much fun. Definitely worth the price.

I went first thing in the morning and a good walking distance from the hotel. No one in the gallery and got to watch several glass items being made in the studio. If you like glass art, visit this studio and gallery.

When my husband was in Louisville for business he sent me out to Flame Run to have fun. I made a vase with the help of my professional glass artist John and then I also got to make a pumpkin. I loved this unique experience. I made my items on Monday, January 30th and I received them on Saturday, February... More

I've been to Flame Run twice, each time around the Christmas holiday to create a one of a kind, personally crated ornament.

Lots of cool items. The magic happens when you get to make your own item. We made a Christmas ornament. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend spending half a day.

I enjoyed watching some young people creating glass snowmen for the up coming Christmas season. It was amazing to watch a blob of glas slowly being formed into a shape and soon a recognizable shape. Stop and it's free to watch. in any time the business is open They have a studio there where you can make your own glasswork.... More

I've been to a lot of glass works and this is one BIG operation. It is very neat how you can look at the blowing operation from a safe & cool viewing spot without getting under foot of the artist as they work yet still see everything that is going on. You can see a lot of different works for... More
