Take the two hour walking tour & learn TONS about Louisville history, or just drive or stroll through the 300 acre cemetery visiting graves as old as 1833. Amazing either way.

I thought it was weird for a cemetery to be something to tour, but I've never seen anything like it in my life. The monuments that are within the cemetery are a site to behold. You can easily get lost inside the property. Make sure...More

This was a great way to spend the afternoon, pick up a map and follow the instructions to see wonderful sites. It is a sobering experience to see all the soldier markers, so sad. We even had a visit from an unexpected visitor! Maybe you...More

To let this beautiful cemetery be in such disrepair. It seems like scout groups, churches, Rotarians, Kiwanis etc couldn't help with cleaning the grave markers. Too much moss on tons of graves eating away the stones. Historical and not taking care of it.

Beautiful, peaceful and interesting place to go for a walk. Some famous graves (e.g. Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders). Jogging not permitted.

Cave Hill Cemetery is located near Phoenix Hill, Bardstown Road and Cherokee Park. The grounds are a peaceful place to visit, and the pond area is a nice area for a quiet stop. There are also some very interesting headstones in the cemetery.

3833.9 miles from the canal to the cemetery. You can easily walk it if you have enough time.

It is definitely worth visiting...the most beautiful cemetery I've ever seen. My nephew is laid to rest there.
