I've been here several times, but yesterday I took a tour titled Remarkable Women of Cave Hill. Excellent tour, wonderful cemetery. People get so excited about Colonel Sanders' grave, but there is so much more to see here. The monuments are extraordinary, and the landscape is gorgeous. If you can take a tour, do so. Cave Hill is like wandering... More

My group of five ladies tour a self-guided tour through the cemetery and it was amazing! The grounds are simply breath-taking and the monuments are gorgeous. The staff was helpful in helping us to find the grave of Colonel Harland Sanders (among others) and we spent more than an hour in the cemetery. Definitely recommend visiting here the next time... Beautiful and fascinating with profound historical impact. We spent well over two hours driving and walking through the grounds and remarkable headstones. The security staff were very helpful in suggesting locations to visit. Civil war sites, the famous, the rich history of people who contributed to the lifestyles we live today is what draws you in, while the beauty of... More

Taphophiles take note! Pretty and holds a few historical figures and features some easy to follow routes to help find those final resting places.

Lots of history in this place. Harlan Sanders, the creator of Ky Fried chicken, among other 'celebrities' rest here. There are many overly ostentatious grave markers and crypts. If you're looking for over the top, look no further. You can feed the geese and walk by a very manicured lake front.

One of the most beautiful resting places in the United States. Incredible landscape, tombs, and the most helpful staff you'll find at any monument

We were visiting in the area and kept coming across this cemetery being an attraction, what a cemetery? We checked it out to see what the big deal was and have to say it is one of the prettier cemeteries I have been in before. I grew up being a florist's daughter and we had to make trips to lots... We don't live too far and take a day trip to visit the cemetery while in Louisville. It is rich with historical landmarks and has an area dedicated to the civil war... There are famous people who have been buried here and some of the tombstones are works of art. Definitely a must see if you are in the mood... More

We were headed to the grave of President Zachary Taylor and stopped in at Cave Hill on the way. This cemetery is perfectly maintained and many of the plants were in full bloom. I have never seen such art - sculpted bronzes and carved marble and granite - in other cemeteries in the South. Plus, you get to pay your... More

We have family buried here, love coming to look at the landscaping. Rich in history, needs lots of time to look around and enjoy the beauty of this place.
