The Frazier History Museum is a world-class museum that provides an unforgettable journey through history with ever-changing and interactive exhibits, daily performances by costumed interpreters and engaging special events and programs. To complement our amazing permanent collection, which includes thousands of items from famous world leaders and one of the country's largest toy soldier displays, the Frazier Museum offers an ever-changing selection of intriguing temporary exhibits. Every day, we offer live historic performances, bringing visitors face to face with some of the people and events that changed the world forever, as well as with average people whose moving and important stories you've probably never heard. The Frazier Museum is located on downtown Louisville's "Museum Row" in a beautiful 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility originally called the "Doerhoefer Building," a late 19th century, Chicago-style commercial structure. The Frazier Museum has three floors of exhibits, an education center, Museum Store and tournament ring, as well as event spaces available for rent, including a beautiful Rooftop Garden featuring seasonal blooming flowers and our Fourth Floor Loft space that accommodates up to 360 people seated.

at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge we spent seveal hours visiting this museum. It was very active with a focus on Veterans Day with guest speakers. Had a wonderful exhibit on Pearl Harbor, including an employee role playing a nurse during the attack. Well worth a visit.

This is a nice little museum! The interactive Lewis and Clark exhibition is especially good. They do lots of "hands on" tables, music groups and short plays during each day. I especially liked the seasonal White Christmas display

As a first-time visitor, I almost got overwhelmed by the volume of historic firearms (it used to be a firearms museum). So take a break for lunch down the street at Subway, and come back to finish up. The lobby exhibits rotate often and all the the displays on all floors are first rate. If you can catch a docent... We didnt really know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. At least 8 well done exhibits. Could have stayed much longer. The Pearl Harbor and Lewis & Clark exhibits were exceptional. And I really enjoyed the toy soldier exhibit. Well worth the admission price.

The Frazier continues to have many great exhibits and programs. "December 7th" is just one of them as is the "Probation" and the" Louis and Clark" exhibits. Annual Christmas Trees of the World as well as their White Christmas holiday exhibit is wonderful. Nice place to take out of town visitors and family to on any day! Members get to... More

The museum combines local and national history seamlessly. Frazier provides a great look into the Bourbon culture of Kentucky and it's place on the frontier and also has a wonderful Pearl Harbor exhibit. The way the exhibits are set up is eye catching and you can see much thought was put into creating an interactive experience. Catch one of the... More

This was the best part of out day trip to Louisville. It has a very good section on prohibition and bourbon in Kentucky. The other areas of history were very nice also. They had a special exhibit going on while we were there. It was a first edition William Shakespeare book of plays.

This is my son's favorite museum!! We love the displays, special exhibits and the re-enactments that they put on. A great way to spend the day.

Went to the Frazier History Museum in October for the first time. One floor had an exhibit chronicling the Prohibition Act of the 1920's. Complete with a milk truck for carrying "boos", a booth with a wax figure of Al Capone. Another floor chronicled the travels of Lewis and Clark with a partial mock-up of a boat like the one... More

In honor of veterans day we went down to see the exhibit on Pearl Harbor, we found it to be interesting and there was a lot of personal material that had been donated by people, so you felt like you knew the people involved. I had never heard the story about the college football team that was there that weekend... More
