The Frazier History Museum is a world-class museum that provides an unforgettable journey through history with ever-changing and interactive exhibits, daily performances by costumed interpreters and engaging special events and programs. To complement our amazing permanent collection, which includes thousands of items from famous world leaders and one of the country's largest toy soldier displays, the Frazier Museum offers an ever-changing selection of intriguing temporary exhibits. Every day, we offer live historic performances, bringing visitors face to face with some of the people and events that changed the world forever, as well as with average people whose moving and important stories you've probably never heard. The Frazier Museum is located on downtown Louisville's "Museum Row" in a beautiful 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility originally called the "Doerhoefer Building," a late 19th century, Chicago-style commercial structure. The Frazier Museum has three floors of exhibits, an education center, Museum Store and tournament ring, as well as event spaces available for rent, including a beautiful Rooftop Garden featuring seasonal blooming flowers and our Fourth Floor Loft space that accommodates up to 360 people seated.

This is worth your time and the admission fee. This museum houses an unparalled collection. The only thing close, mre, otely, is the Cody Museum in Cody, Wyoming. Plan to spend at least 1/2 a day here to see everything. It is a lovely museum.

This is a special place to visit in the city's downtown. Review the exhibits online if you find a subject that you like take the time to plan an afternoon or evening coupled with lunch or dinner downtown. Truly well done exhibits in a very classy setting capsulizes the Frazier. Resident exhibits add to the experience. I like the short... More

Lewis and Clark were the featured historical men that explored the Louisiana purchase with the mission of 1) map a route to the pacific ocean 2) document all new plantings 3) interact with all the native tribes. There was a lot of information that had not been in the history books. Get there early for the scavenger hunt so that... More

Likes: Special Exhibit space on the third floor was great. There was a lot tucked in to this area. Great for adults and kids 8+ Dislikes: Bit Pricey; Main Floor has a lot, general focus on guns and weapons, but not some exhibits don't fit as well.

My wife and I went to the Frazier museum on a Thursday afternoon. It was really nice. There wasn't a large crowd so we really had time and space to enjoy all the exhibits. The staff at the membership desk and the gift shop were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed looking at the Lewis and Clark exhibit. It told of... More

Nice museum on Museum Row on Main. Recommend buying the combo ticket online as it gets you into all 6 museums and saves a lot of money. The museum is essentially a history of the world through firearms. There are lots of weapons in every room, along with dioramas of toy soldiers. The Lewis and Clark temporary exhibit on the... More

Love this museum. Enjoy the history lessons using arms, and enjoy looking at them. Also like the special exhibits that are provided on limited engagements. Go to this museum about 4 times a year.

Imaginatively displayed materials, not an overwhelming number of exhibits. We enjoyed the actor reenactment of historical figures and the card magician. Toy soldiers, western brass sculptures are spectacular. Lots of other things to do in the area.
