So glad you had a good visit, and that both the children and adults learned about our rivers!

Before railways and the interstate highway system, America's mighty inland rivers (Ohio, Mississippi, Missouri, etc.) would move people and goods throughout the country. This museum details that history, and acts as publicity for the industry as it exists today - you can even test-drive a...More

Great museum about the history and uses of the Ohio Valley river system. The scale model ships, old time photos, boating simulations and film on river history are all excellent. The location in the downtown historic district is very convenient.

Great place to spend a few hours walking through the history of the river transportation industry, the local area, how the river has impacted the local area.

I took my 8-year-old son here on a rainy day, and we had a lovely time! I wouldn't recommend this for families with smaller kids, because there isn't much for little hands to do, and there are too many precious breakables. (My son tried valiantly...More

The museum tells the story of the rivers surrounding Paducah. The gift shop has some interesting items, from shirts and books, to trinkets and pictures. The staff was very polite and helpful. I will be going back again.

Actually it is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors over 60 and $5 for children. I'm not sure where the other responder got his information, but it is incorrect.
