Took my two kids, 12 & 9. This was one of the best mini vacations we have had. I definitely recommend this.

The tour guides were both informative and funny. Such a cool experience to see a flooded mine stocked with rainbow trout. The kayaks were see through and bottom lit making visibility in the water all the way to the bottom, up to 30 feet in some spots. This is a must do if you are in the Lexington area.

Not much to see in the mine except things other visitors had dropped. A few rainbow trout and one bat. Could not see out of clear bottom kayaks, too cloudy. Does not compare to a cave excursion. Good for a hot day, very pleasant temp in mine. Horrible port a potties. NOT worth $75 per person

It was something I could never do at home;)! Seeing the rainbow fish and how big they got. We did not feel rushed.. Ray and Steve were excellent.! (Crazy to believe that the Egyptians can travel so far for rock.!)🤣🤣🤣

We rented a glass-bottom tandem kayak. Very unique with lighted bottoms as well as underwater lights to display a large family of Bass, some weighing up to 35#s. The mine’s history is a great story in itself, of how something that appears to have played out can still be used to provide entertainment as well as a living. It was worth the trip and money.
