Owners Neil and Rachel bought a beautiful 30 acre farm near Versailles, Kentucky in Woodford County in 1997 and began planting grapes, berries, apples, and peaches in 1998. They named the farm Wildside Farm because of the wild sunflowers and coneflowers that grew in abundance. In addition, the name fit because the farm was initially certified organic until they learned that a minimum of amount of pesticides was needed to keep the fruits healthy. They still use minimal pesticides. Each year they planted more grapes until today they have 5 acres of grapes, two acres of fruit trees and 1.5 acres of berries.Welcome to Wildside Winery your winery near Lexington Kentucky, the airport, and Keeneland racetrack! Wow. What amazing wines. The dry reds were on par with some of the best our wine regions in Virginia. Plus the fun fruit wines? Try the paw paw. So unique!!

This was a last minute stop while traveling through Versailles on our way to Northern Kentucky. So glad we stopped! Long list of wines to taste. Many sweet varieties to choose from. I think I liked all but one wine that I tasted. Purchased a few bottles to take home with me to enjoy over the summer months. So worth... More

This is a family-run winery in Versailles. We tasted 6 different wine of our choice from a list of about 20. The tasting was well presented with everything labeled for us and the young man who was working was ready to answer any questions we had. He seemed very knowledgeable about the wines as well as the process for making... More

This is hands down the best winery in Ky. They sale traditional wines along with fruit wines and many sweet wines. Most bottles are under $20. The winery is a true mom and pops type setup and not a Corp. style winery like most of the wineries in Ky.

Stop here if you like sitting and sipping wine. It was great. I loved the blackberry wine, it was sweet and fabulous. The atmosphere is quiet and the owners treat you like a neighbor. I enjoyed talking to the staff and the visitors. It was a great afternoon experience.
