It seems that they accepted every mounted animal that was offered. While the quality of the displays is good, there are frequent discrepancies. It is well worth the stop and access is easy from the highway.

Very impressive private collection of North American wildlife., Including Buffalo. I did not realize how large these animals are. Upstairs is huge collection of crosses.

What an unusual place to visit. Loads of taxidermy animals. The cross collection and art is worth seeing. Its free!

I didn't realize that this was strictly a museum of taxidermy. Not my normal thing but I can admire the skill it took to create. The sheer size of some of the animals was amazing.

The Musuem is inside the Cumberland Inn and Museum. We spent a lot of time wandering the exhibits and were amazed at the collection of animals on display. Highly recommend it.

This free museum open 8-8 is well worth a stop or if you choose to stay at the Cumberland Inn a walk across the parking lot. Or you might make time before or after an event at the University.
