We decided to drive through some of the 780,000 acre forest. The forest offers rock climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, picnicking, scenic views, and so much more. We stopped on the side of the road to walk around some areas and also made stops...More

I can't believe we would drive by this amazing park on our way to the Smokies every year. No longer do we need to drive the extra 2 hours; this place is beautiful. Every trail we hiked was a special treat with either a unique...More

Daniel Boone National Forest is one of the finest attractions that the Bluegrass State has to offer. Thousands of acres of untouched wilderness with tons of hiking trails, and a wide variety of tourists attractions. Plenty of nearby food offering a taste of southern and...More

The location states "near Winchester " but this natural jewel is so huge that it's easily accessible in several locations off I-75 starting in southern Kentucky. Cumberland Falls State park is nestled within the forest. Some of my posted pics are from that area, others...More

Our family visited the Red River Gorge area of the Daniel Boone National Forest. We spent 3 days hiking and exploring caves, arches and waterfalls. There was still a lot we did not see. Some hikes are quite strenuous so make sure to always carry...More

It was worth the time just to relax and get away from all of the electronic devises we seem to be attached to. It reminded me of just how beautiful Kentucky is.

Its beautiful country. Plenty of places for picneks. A bunch of different places to fish. Some nice atv and horse trails. The lake is nice for boating. Has a sand beach for swimming.

My husband and I stopped here to camp for the night and it was wonderful! The sites aren't right on top of each other and the bathrooms are clean. The staff was friendly and helpful; if we ever drive down again we would definitely stay...More

Live Daniel Boone National Forest because I love the outdoors, hiking the trails yet many nice places (cabins) to stay if your not a camper. The Natural Bridge State Lodge has great food.
