The visit to the gardens was a last minute decision to escape the constant thumping of music from Mantamar beach club that invades our hotel room at Almar resort. What a great day to enjoy nature, hike trails, swim in the 'cool' mountain stream and eat in a great restaurant overlooking the gardens. The orchid conservancy is beautiful and so... More

I was in heaven with 2 of my favorite things, both like I have never seen. In the gardens the hummingbirds let me get pretty close to photograph them. I was simply giddy.

it is a beautiful place. Best in morning because of the temperatures. Make sure to look at map on where you are going. We visit at a dry part of the season so not as much out in bloom, but still very beautiful. Took the bus, very inexpensive. Can also take tax for about $20 from old town.

This is a great spot for spending a few hours learning about the flora of this area of Mexico. The orchids are worth the trip alone. You can eat lunch at the place and there is always a taxi waiting to take you back where you came from. Also, you can take the bus! Botany history at its finest.
