Made the short trip up to the "THE NUT HOUSE" today to purchase my annual pecans for baking. While I was there I picked up a beautiful wedding gift and a Christmas gift with a visit with my long time friend Susan Valley thrown in as a special treat. It truely is one stop shopping destination!

Naturally I had to get something for myself also. The pecan brittle is delicious and the lady working there was... More

We came across the Little Eva Plantation on our drive along Cane River Heritage Trail. It was their funny sign advertising "we are nuts". We bought freshly made peanut brittle which was gobbled up by our colleagues first day back in work. But we also bought some lovely local perfume and pickles. What a great place and super friendly staff!... More

After a visit to the charming Natchitoches we just happened to pass by on our way to NOLA and stopped because it looked cute and we like Pecans. Inside there was a great selection of Pecans, pecan candies and other local products. The staff were really friendly and helpful, gave us some samples and helped us choose a perfume. I... More
