History & Canjun Music in Eunice

Delighted that this venue is still there for us to enjoy. Historical building and wonderful Cajun music......attending a radio show is historical itself.

Travel to Eunice several times a year and this is one of the venues we always enjoy. Great entertainment at a reasonable price.

Be sure to plan your visit to Eunice to allow for an evening at the Liberty Theater. This is a gem in the area and allows you to see local talent. And, they are talented. A lovely old theater that takes you back to a wonderful place in time. Great evening of fun and music.

We live in Minnesota and traveled to Louisiana to experience the different things they have there. After spending two weeks in Louisiana we love it there and want to go back. We especially like the food and the music. I already knew I didn't like jazz but we heard a lot of it while in New Orleans. We heard Cajun... More

Good music, nice old theater, fun to see people dancing. Also enjoyed listening to the announcer speaking in French (and English) even though I couldn't understand it.

The place is not outdated as others have said. It's an old vaudeville theater that hosts a love Cajun music show each Saturday. It's not Broadway. It's a unique cultural experience and one of the last vestiges of a bygone era. Enjoy it while you can. Great value for the $5 ticket.

We were given tickets to the live musical radio show and Zydeco dance that runs every Saturday night and what a treat it was! First of all, the old theatre is a beautiful, historic building that's been lovingly restored. And secondly, the show draws local folk from miles around who come over regularly just to step out on the dance... More

We were there the evening the young people of the area were featured. WOW! What talent! Bubba Hebert is one of our new favorites! He was sitting in on drums. The others seemed to switch between all the instruments on the stage. What a treat!!

Catch it while you can. From 6:00 to 8:00 every Saturday night the Rendezvous des Cajuns has been broadcast for years and years from the Liberty Theater and for $5.00 a head there's no better show. A live band on the stage and local couples two-stepping and waltzing down front, with an announcer slipping in and out of Cajun French.... More
