Interesting, bit gory

Small museum with a lot of pics, newspaper articles, etc. Many things are duplicates shown in a few different areas, but still interesting. Some gory mannequins, but I'm sure not... read more

Read about this museum and just had to see it. Bonnie and Clyde had a terrible reputation and made history in their own way. The owner is a walking text book about their lives. The museum is filled with news paper articles, photos and had a very interesting documentary movie. The artifacts were remarkable especially the car exhibit in which... More

Small museum with a lot of pics, newspaper articles, etc. Many things are duplicates shown in a few different areas, but still interesting. Some gory mannequins, but I'm sure not as gory as the actual bodies, etc. Not that I'd make a special trip, but if in the Shreveport area, worth a short trip to see. Also, be sure to... More

Went here with 12 & 9 year old children. Had a chance to talk to the owner and he had done extensive research on Bonnie and Clyde and had some personal family experiences relating to them. He was an interesting guy. Could be a shade gruesome for young children but it is a great springboard for discussions on crime, poverty,... More

Prior to attending the Ambush Museum, I didn't know much more about Bonnie and Clyde than what was presented in the Warren Beatty/Faye Dunaway movie. The small front room of the building is a souvenir/gift shop of Bonnie and Clyde stuff. Once you pay the admission fee, you go through a door leading to the actual museum which doesn't seem... More

This was a cool place, small in size but they have a lot of neat items. I think we could go back and see items that we didn't see the first time. Anything you want to know about Bonnie and Clyde and the Chase and ambush that ended their reign of terror...

I had this museum on my bucket list for several years and had an opportunity to visit it today. The man that owns the museum is very knowledgeable about Bonnie & Clyde. He is very friendly and answered all of our questions. The museum contained a lot more than I was expecting- lots of interesting memorabilia. The video was very... More

Each summer, my brother and I load all the kids into the motor home and make a trek across the country. We love to stop at quirky places not far off of our path. This spot was perfect. Not really RV friendly parking. We parked on the shoulder. Had we been much longer, we would have been ticketed I'm sure.... More

Does it really matter what's authentic and what isn't? It's about the experience in the people you talk to that know the history and the stories. It happened in the area people know that and Boots, who unfortunately was not there the day we went, knows the truth and so do the people living in the area. I definitely recommend... More
