We took the tour and the staff only followed if you requested. they were so interesting and informed. I lived in LA my whole life and never knew this amazing story of our history.

A great learning experience about the beginning of Natchitoches. The fort built to scale with people to answer questions and inform you of how the people lived within the walls of the fort. 15 minute video inside the information center. Very informative.

We visited during home tour knowledgeable park docent gave us grand tour of Fort replica 200 yards away Good 15 minute video worthwhile

A must see in Natchitoches; this museum is tended by lovng staff who have made many hand made items from pioneer days to add to the first diorama of a frontier family. The museum does a freat job of presenting the Cane River area history...More

This was our first visit here, but it won't our last. If you're over 62 years old, it's free. Knowledgeable docents in the area to answer questions. Rooms included chapel, barracks, commander's quarters, etc. Some walking is required, but wheelchair assess also. Interesting museum exhibits...More
