My husband booked us a night at Cook's Cottage with our 3 boys. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The cottage was way beyond what was expected. They certainly provided us with more than enough snacks and drinks to get through the evening and morning with 3 growing boys. The grounds were... More

We toured the gardens but didn't do the tour of the big house. Lots of interesting stuff to see. We went early in the morning on a weekday and there wasn't many other people around.

Rip Van Winkle Gardens is beautiful. It is definitely worth a visit. We toured the house and learned about the history of the property and its owners. The tour guide told some interesting stories. I really enjoyed the gardens and would love to come back again!

A really good place to have lunch. Food was fresh, huge portions, quick service, very popular. Good to walk aroubd the gardens to the lake. Peacocks and racoons seen in the gardens. Would recommend for the food alone.

This is a lovely place to visit with a great history. The home tour was short, but all inclusive in the price of the gardens. I could not tour the gardens as it is not handicapped friendly for a walker as the paths are graveled. The café was delicious. The prices are a little high, but worth it for the... More

Interesting tour of the 'mansion' and self-guided walk through the gardens. We enjoyed seeing the short film about the history of the home and its owners. This was a delightful couple of hours. Had lunch at Cafe Jefferson -- LOVED the food.

Our group traveled here in September. Enjoyed dinner in the adjacent coffee, a stroll through the gardens, and a tour of the home. A great place for leisure travels.

Love this place for lunch or special celebrations. The flowers and peacocks are always gorgeous, and the staff is great. We had a birthday celebration for my MIL here, and everything went better than we planned. Perfect place.
