You won't regret visiting Norton. You will either fall in love with the exquisite azalea garden outside, or the Remington's inside. Either way you will be looking at lovely things and doing it for free. Can't beat that.

Missed the azalea blooms but thoroughly enjoyed walking through the gardens. Didn't go inside but will on next visit. Beautiful landscaping. Hills and small creeks and ponds. Very relaxing. Lovely Sunday afternoon stroll.

I walk here in the mornings. It's like you are walking through an enchanted forest. So lovely to see the flowers blooming, ducks, chickens, different gardens. What a gem.

Terrific free art museum and beautiful gardens. I wish I had allocated more time to view the wonderful paintings. North Carolina artist Bob Timberlake (living near my hometown) had two works on display! Well worth a visit!

Why I never visited when I lived in Shreveport, I have no idea. What a treasure. Amazing Remingtons and Russells (world-class collection), amazing/unique/unsusal pistol collection, terrific art pieces of multiple genres (except weird modern abstract.) Except for one VERY LOUD younger woman who works there...More

You may want to check out their Facebook site for current displays. Also, the neighborhood has been commenting on the chickens seen over there lately. RW Norton Gallery on Facebook

No photography is allowed inside or on the grounds. In years past, photographers used the beautiful grounds for backgrounds for pictures. But, some got a bit unruly, even brought a horse and buggy onto the lawn and ruined... More
