Picture the moss hanging on gnarled cypress trees as you travel into one of the wildest and most pristine river swamps in America. With the swamp tales of pirates and sightings of Big Foot in the back of your mind, you may be just a little bit nervous at first, but after your first boat ride you'll want to go back again and again! You'll be overcome by the primitive beauty of the cypress trees rising from the water...the sweet smell of wild azaleas in the air....

Our 9:00 tour was delayed by weather but we were able to go at 11:00. I was concerned that it would be too cold and we wouldn't see much but Captin Charlie knew were to take us. He brought hotdogs and marshmallows to entice the animals. We saw gators, a variety of birds, and wild pigs!

Great experience. Captain Gene was terrific bringing our group of 12 over from New Orleans. And Brian was amazing on the boat. We had a diverse group of 12 and they all had a great experience. I have some wildlife background and Brian impressed me with his knowledge of birds, etc. It was a great experience - with the natural... More

Captain Jack took my best friends and I out for a private 4hr swamp tour so we could do some water color painting.. this was not only my bachelorette party, but a life long dream since watching Disney's "The Rescuers". The swamp itself surpassed all my hopes, we were followed by gators as we went, saw ghostly herons and colorful... More

Insightful, relaxed and hilarious guide plus gorgeous serene surroundings with good friends made this one of the highlights of my trip to New Orleans this year. I've been going for years and always dismissed this as touristy but really glad we did it. Go early in the morning. Good value too. Recommend!

This beat the tour in the Everglades by a mile! So worth it and the length of time you get to spend out on the water far exceeded my expectations. Lots of wildlife to see, and if you have kids they'd love it!

It took a little coaxing, but we were able to the folks to come with us, and once we were on the boat, they were really excited! Not at all what they expected! Felt safe, super friendly guide who did an amazing job with maneuvering with the boat, and very knowledgeable! And yes… we saw gators! Lots of gators that... More

Thought I'd hate it but loved every minute and didn't want it to end. About sixteen on the covered boat plus cheerful funny and knowledgeable captain made this an unforgettable tour. Loads of laughs and close-ups with alligators, wild boars, raccoon etc. Definitely a must do.

Capt. Charlie was fantastic. You could tell he really loved his home. Lots of great info and it was better than I anticipated. I am not really the outdoorsy type but it was for everyone! Forgot bug spray but we didn't have a problem. Not to be missed

Awesome trip to the swamp with Captain Hunter! Saw hogs, raccoons, snakes, and alligators. Captain Hunter was fun and knowledgable; his passion for the swamp and its inhabitants was evident. Our taxi driver Miller provide us with history of Katrina and made sure to point out points of interest on our way to the swamp. Thanks for a memorable experience!
