We hadn't been to the Chocolate Church in about 30 years. It is still my favorite venue in Maine. The interior has been well restored and it only seats about 300 people. The acoustics are great and every seat is a good seat, although, the first row is awfully close to the stage. They variety of entertainment there is impressive.... More

Went to yet another concert (Susan Vega) at the Chocolate Church and I was very impressed. Every seat is a good seat and this old historic venue continues to impress me with a great line up of acts from folk to musicals. It is a historic church bringing live performances to Bath , Maine and deserve to be supported. Best... More

We saw the Pirates of Penzance in September and it it is remarkable what they are able to do with local talent. The Orchestra though small was well represented and would draw me back again.

What a wonderfully accessible venue with kind staff and a quaint and intimate atmosphere! An odd smell in the old church, but not a bad seat in the house (so far!) and an attractive location for alternative events! Nice little art gallery on premises. Parking available nearby. Tucked in a beautiful neighborhood with lovely architecture and landscaping.

Make sure to take in The Slambovian Circus of Dreams on Oct. 30. I have no idea what that is, but it sure sounds exciting.

The Chocolate Church presents many acts, musical, theater, dance in a repurposed 1839 Congregational Church. Acts include Coig, a Celtic group from Cape Breton, Judy Collins, Schooner Fare, Pretty Ladies Sing Soprano, Or Grace Kelly, a terriffic jazz musician with her band. Every seat is good, prices are reasonable, acoustics and lightly are good as is available parking.

What a wonderful performing arts center! We saw Schooner Fare there. The sound was great and there isn't a bad seat in the house!

We were in Bath looking for a place to eat lunch and I saw this on my Yelp app. I was intrigued by the name, so we looked for it. The church is exactly the color of milk chocolate, which is how I presume it got its name. The architecture is really interesting, so I got out and took pictures... More
