It's been a fantasy of mine to actually experience the climb and walk on to the catwalk at the top of a lighthouse. On a cruise with the Bath Maritime Museum that goal mine was enjoyed here. Absolutely amazing! Will be going back.

Took the boat to Seguin on a beautiful day. Tied up on one of the moorings and explored the island. Beautiful vistas and easy walking terrain. Pack a lunch and go.

You may not have heard of Maine's tallest Light, but it's on this fabulous island, only accessible by boat. Call Ethan and take his Seguin Island ferry, to the island. But be prepared: *Take a back pack with a small towel or two in it. You'll need it because you have to take off your shoes/socks to wade a few... More

Nice little lighthouse, museum and grounds. Great view of the coast from the top. Somewhat of a remote location, but there is a seasonal restaurant at the far end of the property.

Seguin Island Light, is really in Georgetown. Only accessible by boat. Open in the summer months. Interesting to learn about the past of the light and the lightkeepers. The old tram is an interesting piece of history as well. The climb to the light is pretty steep, not good for people with walking disabilities. Can be very cool and sometimes... More

What a beautiful and tranquil place to visit! The seagulls fly overhead; the lighthouse looms in the distance, ready to be explored and the North and South paths along the island are inviting for a quick stroll.

Saw this from the Kennebec River Tour out of the Maine Maritime Museum. Wonderful history behind this lighthouse.

This was a wonderful trip to visit the Island and Lighthouse. I will go again. Wear good shoes to walk/hike. The shoreline trails are rocky. Pack a lunch and water too.

We took Captain Ethan's ferry to visit the Sequin Island Lighthouse. A beautiful island with a lovely lighthouse and many short hiking trails. The ferry is actually a fishing boat. To get on and off the boat, you need to climb up and down the ladder. (due to the tide) One of the older passengers was having a little difficulty... More

Paddling to Seguin Island on a choppy day proved to be well worth the work. 7 of us made the paddling on a day filled with wind, chop and the current of the Kennebec provided some adventure out to the light house. Once there, the light house keepers were great hosts. The walk to the top was amazing as well... More
