Skied Friday and Saturday. The season has been challenging, but they have made huge snow. The food service offers excellent cooked to order items. The restaurants up hill offer a wide variety of items from pizza, chilli, dogs, stir-fry and panini's.

This was our third time here and it's still amazing. The skiing is good. The slopes are nice and wide so if it does get busy (which it doesn't very often) there is still plenty of room on the slopes. It's a good all round ski area. Great for all abilities. Will definitely go back again.

I went here a few years ago and what an experience. So much to see and do like many ski resorts. There are lots of great runs to choose from, from beginner to expert. Views are lovely and the shops are cool. I liked the fact that you could drive down the road and visit the small towns ;)

We've been coming to Sunday River for years and as a family we love it. They put their money where their mouth is when it comes to snowmaking so you are guaranteed some skiing when other mountains can't. Plus, at full capacity - if you know how to manage the mountain - there are very little lines to the lift.... More

Skied 4 days in January 2016. Had a 3 hour lesson with an expert who greatly improved my skiing and got me to runs I could not have handled without lessons. Wonderful resort with friendly, helpful staff always willing to help. Loved my ski vacation spent there and will definitely come again.

A very cold winter day, the best way is to do the beginner trails for $40 each all day rather than the $89 for all day each. Beautiful view, recommend going to the peak afterwards about a half mile down the street!

I ski Sunday River every Christmas. I'd watched weather/snow reports and knew that there had been little 'real' snow but as usual, snowmaking had been going on for weeks. I knew that the number of open trails would be limited but showed up nevertheless. Drove up from Portland and arrived after 1pm (we were staying on the mountain). We'd decided... More

Not enough seating at lunch hours...even though 33 trails were open. I can't imagine going at capacity. Also, a trail was closed for ski school. We knew there weren't many trails open and it was annoying to lose even one more due to events like this. The snow making left huge piles of snow in the middle of trails. Some... More

2015 must be the worse December season for Eastern resorts. We cancelled our booking to Mont Saint Anne due to the lack of snow, and made a last minute change to the Sunday River. Boy we made the right decision! Considering nearly every day was above zero, we could not believe how they managed to open 25 slopes on our... More

Came here during the first week of December of 2015 for early season skiing. Sunday River has some of the best snow makers in the country and are one of the first to open each year on the east coast, which led to a buddy and I road tripping up and to check it out. Even with an incredibly warm... More
