Jonathan Fisher was the first Congregational minister in Blue Hill and a man of many parts: scholar, etymologist, naturalist, painter, carpenter and cabinet maker. He built this house and much of what is in it, all of which has been lovingly maintained. The docents are excellent.

The house built by Jonathan Fisher (pastor, primative artist, writer, mechanic, and more) in late 1700's. Plain and simple, full of virgin growth wood paneling, and the way our ancestors really lived, not the prettied up versions in so many historic homes.
