Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

Garden's Aglow was awesome!

I went in 2015, and loved it. After two cancellations (one on our part-temps in low 20F's; the other on the Garden's due to a major storm), I finally made it on New Years Eve-it... read more

I went in 2015, and loved it. After two cancellations (one on our part-temps in low 20F's; the other on the Garden's due to a major storm), I finally made it on New Years Eve-it is amazing! Everywhere you looks, there are lights! It was so beautiful...too bad ( or maybe not ) I left my billfold at home-their amazing... More

Came here for Garden Aglow, 4 pm slot. As the sun slowly descended, the lights became alive! It was a beautiful setting with many assorted lights. I especially liked the lights strung up high into the trees. My only complain was that it was super muddy. The tracks were all wet and muddy and made muddier with all the people... More

These gardens are so vast! There are waterfalls, ponds, flowers, small forests around. There’s also a very cozy café with an amazing gift shop where you buy something for your loved ones. I and my husband and 2 children paid some extra in order to enjoy the 1 hour boat ride. It was so picturesque and informative. We liked it... More

My wife and I have been enjoying these lovely gardens since the year after it opened. They were nice then and just get nicer every year. Started from scratch only a little over ten years ago, this place is a labor of love. It is the result of locals (and other supporters) pouring their hearts, souls and, in many cases,... More

My 6 year old granddaughter was ecstatic that she could come back to see all the Christmas lights again this year. Last year she found all the Elves for the Scavenger Hunt, and this year she located all the Fairy Houses. She had to keep telling her 8 yr old brother he was going the wrong way!! We gratefully appreciated... More

Awesome displays of lights surround you as you stroll around a spectacular venue. Lots of photo ops plus several places to stop to get a hot drink or get out of the cold. Be sure to purchase tickets online to save time and money. We were able to use the free shuttle from the town office which was wonderful and... More
