Well..to start with, the place is located in a very interior spot and road is quite bad. Once you enter the premises, you get a feeling of spirituality for sure. The place however needs to be managed well as officials could not give right info on the timing etc and directions...there was some majoe confusion seen with people trying to... More

Its like a religious empire, full of serenity and hospitality. The maharajs here are very welcoming. You can choose to stay at any of the guest houses - Sankha, Chakra, Gada or Padma. Facilities are okayish. Do not miss the mahaprasadam served around 12.30pm.

We don't expect much for religious visits except spiritual enlightenment. This trip to ISKON Mayapur was seriously disappointing. Accommodation was not as advertised. We received 1 bed for a group of 3. Very intermittent travel services are especially taxing for older individuals. My parents were really uncared for and made to walk or wait for hours. My dad was diabetic... More

Mayapur is a nice weekend destination for a relaxing and spiritual experience. Only point of caution is avoid going during monsoon as road condition (NH 34) is more than bad.

Mayapur is suitable for a day trip as well as overnight stay. There are plenty of staying options in guest houses but prior booking in busy season is advised. Boat trip to holy locations in Nadia is cheap ( tickets are still 1 or 2 R's) and enjoyable. People are friendly . Avoid monsoon as there is a risk of... More

Communication is a sort of problem there .only buses are available there .from kolkata you can take bus train or any private vehicle . Once you are there you can find a peace of mind . It's beside a river . Many foreigners come here .the temple is very big one .
