The Chottanikkara Temple is a famous temple of the Hindu mother goddess Bhagavathi.Temple is located 15kms from Ernakulam Town. Accessible by Bus, Auto, Taxi. One should also go to the 'Keezhkkaavu' temple at Chottanikkara which is few steps down.

The temple is among the busiest temple in Kerala but still its very well maintained and clean. Thanks to the Clean and good hygiene External Toilet facility made for the devotees.

Chottanikkara is very famous for the Bhagavathy Amman temple. It is one of the oldest temples in Kerala and it is believed that every day in the night Bhagavathy comes to drive away the ghosts that torment people.

I was expecting not to miss this temple and I did not. Was so peaceful visiting and had a great darshan. Was almost there around noon. One of the must visits.
