On a drizzly day we took a drive with the kids and happened upon the mini aquarium. A little over-priced for the size of the place but helped knowing the funds get pumped into conservation. Lots of neat things to see and knowledgeable young staff....More

My wife, son (12) and I stopped in at the Petty Harbour Mini Aquarium on a Sunday in August 2018. Cool little place that is constantly changing it’s inhabitants. The staff were incredibly informative and really wanted to tell you about all what was there....More
We made a quick stop in here while we were roaming Petty Harbor. Admission price was relatively inexpensive and the kids got a real kick out of it. It's a fairly small place and doesn't take long to get through, but worth the price.
My (nearly) two year old had so much here! She loved the crabs and the staff were friendly and engaging. When they asked if she wanted to watch them feed the fish, she was ecstatic.
One draw back is definitely the limited parking available in...More

So glad you enjoyed your visit! Sea you next time.
This is very small but hands on for kids. Friendly staff answer questions about the area. When I say small it is about 15 ft by 40 ft. Nice area to walk though. Park above.More

Thanks for your review altun13, and we are glad you enjoyed your visit. We are indeed a small or mini facility. With our biggest focus on releasing all animals back to the places they were collected every September a smaller space is much more manageable....More

A taxi from Petty Harbour might be about $50 round trip. We would recommend renting a car for the day so that way you can spend lots of time in Petty Harbour, stay for lunch at Chafe's Landing or go for a Zipline Tour. Or ask the cab driver to take you to on a round trip tour of Cape Spear and Petty Harbour. Unfortunately, no public transit or shuttles are available at this time.
Thank you for your question! Hope to see you at the Mini Aquarium this season. :)
