Overview
More
Herbie's Olde Shoppe is a heritage craft shop. We are located in Weir's General Store a Petty Harbour business since 1933. The old General Store ambience and original interior remains, only the merchandise has changed. Today the shelves are filled with crafts of distinction made by Newfoundland and Labrador artisans and craftspeople. We offer quilts, woolens, woodwork, pottery, jewellery, and bath products. Traditional music, books, photographs and prints depicting the rugged coastal scenery of Petty Harbour-Maddox Cove are also available. Our display of memorabilia from the old general store will bring back memories of "days gone by". A visit to Herbie's is a "step back in time".

The Newfoundland tourist material portray Herbie's as a general store. We love to explore such places as well as original hardware stores, etc. They are kinda like museums. In this case, it is a small room loaded with local crafts. However, having said that, we...More

Local crafts by locals owned by locals. IF you haven't heard enough Newfoundland twang and words ( no disrespect meant ) then you will hear it in here!! Lots of hand made items and almost museum decorations.

A very well appointed shop filled to the brim with locally made crafts. A former grocery store and the nice lady behind the cash regaled us with some pleasant stories from the region.

A very small shop, but chock full of crafts and gifts made by true Newfoundland artisans. An especially good selection of earrings. Proprietor is informative and friendly. You may take some time to find parking in a town lacking parking facilities, but worth the trouble.

After enjoying the sights of the working harbour, we wandered into Herbie's and were delighted to find the kinds of gifts/souvenirs that we were looking for. And the owner was super friendly and welcoming. Great memories of our visit to NFLD.

A charming, packed store full of handmade, locally made, and beautiful pieces. Very friendly staff. Just a one minute walk from the water. Reasonable prices, very welcoming vibe. I'm glad we stopped in here and supported some local artists.
