This was my first, but certainly not my last adventure on Battie Mountain. I can't wait to return & explore more of the trails.

A beautiful viewing area of the Maine coast - definitely worth a stop. Picturesque village lies below (Camden) & on a clear day - you can see forever...really!

What a spectacular view from the top! We did a little hiking too. Just follow the light blue painted dot. Tower was closed for repairs.

Or at least mountains that close to the Atlantic in Maine. this is the stuff of Norman Rockwell! I am told that the opening scenes of 'Peyton PLace" were filmed on this location. Pictures don't do it justice and it is well worth the visit!

This is a great place to see sweeping views of Camden and the surrounding areas. Small easy to see state park.

The cost to drive to the top of Mount Battie was $12 each and that's good for one calendar day. The price seems a bit steep, but after the two-minute drive to get to the top, the view of the Maine coastline and the harbor are breathtaking. Mount Battie is part of the Camden Hills State Park, and there were... More
