My husband and I really enjoyed our experience on this whale watching/fishing boat ride! Butch (the captain of the boat) along with his co captain were both very friendly and informative. We saw Minke whales, porpoises, bald eagles, a seal, were able to hold a starfish and lobsters, and caught a whole lot of mackerel! It was chilly when the... More

What a treat seeing so many whales and a pair of bald eagles nesting! Even had a chance to see the OLD SOW, birds and other animals. Well worth the trip and enjoyed seeing some lobster traps and how they are handled.

We spent a week in Eastport Maine and one of the very best things we did that week was take a trip on the Eastport Windjammer. We had done this before when they had the beautiful Ada C. Lowe a Chesapeake oyster schooner. Now that have a converted lobster boat so it was a bit tight quarters but we were... More

We went on an afternoon whale watching cruise, saw several minke whales, porpoises, seals and a bald eagle nest including a juvenile and an adult (both perched and in flight). The men on the ship had all sorts of great information about the area and about the history and current status of the fishing industries. Even pulled up a couple... More

Windjammer is a family operation, small cruise on a lobster boat on the Bay of Fundy. Wonderfully nice people from the mom who runs the office to the Captain Burt and the first mate/son who is very articulate in explaining the wildlife and the life on the water; has impeccable manners. They obviously knew the area well from taking us... More

Captain and crew were great. The crew gave info on Eastport and the area. Sighted 8 whales, many seals, and bald eagles. Also included on the tour was a view of the old sow whirlpool and East Quaddy Lighthouse. On the return the crew pulled 3 lobster pots that held lobsters, crabs, sea urchins, and a Sea Robin. The crew... More

If you are in Eastport Maine(you are traveler!) and you want to see some sea life, do a whale watching trip with Eastport Windjammers. This was a family activity with my 80 plus year mother, my wife and my 8 year old daughter. We did the 4:30pm cruise and the weather was great(bring layers, as gets cooler out on the... More

This is the most fun for adults and kids. It was a whaling cruise and even though we weren't fortunate enough to see whales it was great. We saw a baby Bald Eagle, harbor and gray seals and porpoises. We also went by and checked lobsters traps. The children on board were able to pick up the hermit crabs and... More

This was absolutely the best tour I have ever taken! Captain Butch and Captain Rob are both amazing and very informative. By the time the cruise was finished, we felt like we had made some new friends.

The captain is very personable and attentive to guests. Breathtaking sightings of whales, porpoise and seals. Brisk air so bring a sweatshirt or warm jacket.
