My wife and I went to see art by a local artist and friend of ours and we spent close to two hours in the gallery viewing her work. - Great job Lori! - very peaceful and quiet environment, and set up was well organized. Highly recommended.

The Art Gallery at the University of Maine at Farmington is located in the heart of the campus. It seems to be located in a remodeled old house and looks quite modern inside. It is a small gallery and doesn't normally have a permanent collection of any sort on display, unlike the much larger museums at Colby and Bowdoin Colleges. It functions more as a temporary exhibition showcase for a variety of Maine artists, including scupltors, painters and photographers. The building has two floors and admission is free. …
