The Maine wildlife Park is a wonderful place to pack a picnic lunch and go spend the day. The park has tried and succeeded to make the animals habitations as true to the real thing. All the animals here are animals that are being rehabilitated or cannot survive in the wild. Great learning experience for young and old alike. They... More

My kids and family In general were really looking forward to visiting the wildlife park when we visited Maine this weekend. We went on the website for the park and it said that it was open. We drove over an hour to get there, only to find that it was closed for the season. Attractions such as these need to... More

Loved going here when I was younger, and took my daughter here for her first time this summer. At a year and a half old she had a ball. She enjoyed the turtles, and much more. A fun family day together.

Nice small wildlife park. Most exhibits are nicely done and good for the animals. I spent 30 years in the Zoo business so know what i am talking about the one overriding negative is they allow feeding of the bears which is bad to them as a species and bad to teach us humans. Just ask anyone ion Florida. It... More

We are into wildlife so we had to go to this place. It is primarily a site for animals that have been rescued. I don't often get to see Moose, so that was the primary attraction for me, but they had a variety of local wildlife including foxes, deer, raccoons, mountain lions, foxes, etc. The fish hatchery is also part... A great place to visit with kids. You can see all the local wildlife displayed in somewhat of a natural setting, again depending on the animal. They also have wonderful flower plantings all over the park. They also have many special days through their open season with special programs put on by experts, such as a native indian pow wow,... My favorite Maine tourist experience is the Maine Wildlife Park. Native animals who have been removed from the wild for health, safety or rehabilitation reasons are on display in well designed habitats. Mainers who live in the woods see deer quite frequently, but moose, coyotes, bobcats and lynx are not so easy to find. I always recommend this park to... More

Had a hankering to see a moose and my efforts to accomplish this in the wild have proven unsuccessful. While the moose brought me to the park, I was happily surprised with the variety of other animals and the park is beautiful to walk through. One caution: If you are short on time or stamina, skip the fish hatchery. It... More

We chose to come here instead of another wildlife place in NH mainly due to the price ($7.50 per adult) and were very pleased we did. Just be aware that they only accept cash. The animals appear to have good sized enclosures and we saw wildlife we didn't know existed! We spent 4 hours in the park and could have... More

They are rescuing animals with intent to rehabilitate for release into the wild. Close to natural settings help you visualize where animal would be. Areas are clean and roomy. Staff was ver helpful to us. Enjoyed seeing the moose and cougar the most. Shaded areas provide respite from hot sun. Picnic areas provides place to relax.
