Was excited to drive by and see this landmark, until we pulled up to it. It is in major need of repairs. I would not waste your time trying to fit it in to see. Carry on.

We drove by the house. It really was not very exciting. It is badly in need of being fixed up. I wouldn’t go out of your way for this.

We have viewed this many times. Still, it is unique. I find something new each time I go there. Needs repairing...but that hasn't changed. It has been in need of this for several years.

An absolutely beautiful home with an excellent history/story. So said to see that it doesn't appear anyone is giving this home any care now! It is still a beautiful home with a great story...can someone step up and care for it?

Bus tour took us on a drive through the neighborhoods in the area and this one is worth looking at and learning the history behind the house.

It is worth stopping by to see the uniqueness of this structure. It is failing into great disrepair which is unfortunate.

Remembered this from visit to area some 15 years ago and the history behind it. Lovely unusual old dame of a house but sadly needs a lot of money spent to repair and repaint it. See from one of other reviewers they met the owner...More

The Wedding Cake House is called the "most photographed house" in the state of Maine. It is an historic house located at 104 Summer Street. The home was built in 1825 by shipbuilder, George W. Bourne. The history behind the house is very interesting.

Very interesting to see something that is totally different from other houses in the area. Needs a little tlc but am sure in its prime it was beautiful. Worth a look and a photo stop,
