This summer hs been insanely hot in Maine. So the result is that the water is actually warm here. I am told the water temperature reached 68 yesterday which is unheard of,

The beach is a combination of sandy areas & rocky granite, so if you want sand, you need to go early as street parking is very limited, and it's also paid parking ($20?) for fhe day. It's just a bit out of the town center...More

If your going to go go early and make sure you get a beach permit because without it you can’t park and with it you’ll park at least a mile away. Found this to be true with all beaches in maine

I have a 6 lb. dog and I've never been in an environment with more well-behaved dogs. they're all out in the evening and the sea air seems as calming to them as to us.

Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunk. Great beach that is dog friendly mornings and evenings. Generally has great surf and nice sand. Paid permit parking.

Easy beach for families! Loved the soft sand & being able to walk to either side with the kids to look at rocks & see the boats.

Love Gooch’s, Middle and Mother’s beaches in beautiful Kennebunk, Maine. The grandkids really like the playground at Mother’s Beach. It’s a great place to spend the day in the summer. Be sure to pick up a tide schedule available at many local area shops.

We stopped at the beach after looking for lighthouses. The beach is in sort of a half circle. The side we walked on was mostly small rocks and seashells. In the middle are large rocks and then the sand on the other side. My daughter...More

I don't think there are very many dog friendly beaches in season. Maine is our go to place off season because it does get very busy in the summer. I do know many people who rent homes through VRBO and have had great... More
