This was my second stay at Maine Huts and Trails and it was, yet again, FANTASTIC! A gem of a trail system with gorgeous "huts" - they are more like beautiful ski lodges with very comfortable bunk lodging. Excellent for groups or family excursions. The staff are super friendly and helpful and THE FOOD is amazing. With lots of food... More

We stayed three nights at the Flagstaff Hut and had a wonderful time. First off, the staff are extremely friendly and are great cooks. Breakfast and dinner every day were special, and they offered slightly different options each day for your bag lunch. There's free coffee and cocoa for overnight guest, and a pretty decent beer and wine selection! We... More

This weekend 9 friends and I nordic skied up to Stratton Brook Hut and stayed the night. It was one of the best adventures of my life! Dear friends, beautiful nature, and the hut experience is absolutely top notch. The buildings are so beautiful and eco friendly, the food was locally sourced and expertly prepared, the overnight accommodations were clean... More

We skied all four huts - Stratton Brook, Poplar Springs, Flagstaff Lake, and Grand Falls. Huts were wonderful - friendly staff, well organized, heated bunk rooms and main room a real plus, hot showers were welcome, meals very nice and very accommodating to vegetarians, gluten free, etc. Groomed trails a real plus and some had beautiful views of the surrounding... Wow, all four huts in one trip! We're so glad you enjoyed yourselves; conditions have been pretty spectacular this winter. I'll be sure to pass on your compliments to the hut crew and groomers, they work really hard and it's always nice to know they're appreciated. I stayed at the Stratton Brook Hut overnight with a large group. Worth the hike, even in sub-zero weather. The food is great, the floors are heated, the facility is beautiful. Nice staff. Only complaint: the beds are hard.

Another successful “Harvest at the Hut”! This was our second Harvest at the Hut and the local vendors and MH&T staff continue to deliver a top notch meal with friendly, personalized service. My favorite appetizer of the evening was the crispy Maine potato pancakes topped with sauerkraut, Chèvre, fresh dill and roe; I’m sure that I ate more than my... More

We had a fantastic time snowshoeing between Flagstaff and Poplar huts, two of the 4 huts on the Maine huts and trails circuit. It was several spectacular days of hiking topped off with cozy bunkhouses (we requested private rooms), delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by the staff, and a warming wood stove. The huts -- more like wilderness lodges... More

The trip up to Stratton Brook Hut with VAST and the memories made while their exceeded all my expectations. The food, the adult beverages sitting by the fire, and the staffs enthusiasm was amazing.

Just got home from a weekend trip to the Stratton Brook Hut!!! Our group of 18 Veterans (from VAST (Veteran's Adaptive Sports and Training)). I can't thank the staff at the hut, Hannah (2), Dawn, Annie and Christie enough as they treated our Veterans to amazing hospitality, accommodations and meals. The lodging provided superior views, hot showers, beer and wine... More
