The locks are a great thing to see whether you live in Maine or are just visiting. The river is a nice way to relax before the business of Sebago Lake or Brandy Pond. I love the fact that it is still manual.

The River is always one of our favorites. Driving from Long Lake to Sebago is a must do. Plan a full day. Pack a lunch and relax at state park beach. This particular day had 30+ boats anchored or beached. We've been going for 25 years. Pics of the locks and state park.

Our family took our boat through the locks over our past vacation. It is a fun experience. The water raises and lowers appoximately 5 feet.

Have been going to Sebago for over 30 years and about 15 years ago we started taking one day and traveling the Songo river through the lock and up to Brandy Pond, long lake & Naples. Always a good time although prices have gone up over the years it’s still worth the trip if your a boater.…

The Songo River Queen was a pleasant 2 hour trip on Long Lake. The bonus was the Belamy Jazz Band the played. The boat has a complete bar and lite refreshments.
