I saw The Songo River Queen II while I was driving for work from Manchester, NH to Naples ME, and I was captivated by its beauty. The following weekend I took my fiancee to see it, and we took a one hour tour. She told me that this was the most romantic, relaxing, beautiful experience we had had last summer. We plan to go back this summer.…

Great crew and vessel. We went for a day trip ride and discovered by accident. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride, the commentary and the scenery.

My wife and I took a two hour cruise on a Sunday, and had a great time. The ride was smooth and the guide did a good job of talking without seeming to "Talk for talk's sake"- interesting facts about the lakes and history. There is a snack bar on board- captive prices but not horrible, and the cheeseburgers were fairly good. Cost for the tour was $56 and we felt it was worth it. There is also a one hour tour for slightly less.…

Went on a family outing with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and their two young kids, riding on the Songo River Queen II. The trip we chose was a two hour excursion of Long Lake. It's always just fun being on the water with nothing to do but look at the scenery, including some fabulous looking waterfront homes. The boat's speed is said to be 8MPH so we had plenty of time to check out the properties. The air was pretty clear so in the distance we could even see some pretty tall mountains. The boat has two decks, the upper deck has a canvas roof for protection against any unsuspected rain. The lower deck has a smaller totally enclosed area in case of unexpected cold weather. There is a cash bar open once the boat leaves the dock, bottles of beer start at $3.50 (pretty reasonable), plus wine, cocktails, nice looking hamburgers and other snacks. Remember I said cash bar, no credit cards accepted at the bar/snackbar. The lower deck has a nice walking area that goes all around. At the rear of the upper deck on the floor there are plexiglas windows where you can see the stern wheeler doing its job. There are two heads (boat talk for restrooms). One unfortunate occurrence is both were out of commission due to someone likely clogging them with a disallowed item. Even though the adults in our group had beer, we made it through the voyage without an accident. I thought the fares were reasonable, would suggest anyone visiting the Naples, Maine area to take the cruise.…
