I had a reservation for a ferry ride to Monhegan. We ended up at the wrong ferry and had to pay double. Number 1, the reservationist insisted that I put my friends on my card so I had to pay for them. Number 2, forget...More

My rating may be a bit unfair, as our trip was affected by the elements, but I can only rate as I experienced the day, and presumably those who went on glorious days will give high ratings and everything will average out. Our day at...More

I read reviews of different companies that do puffin tours and this looked like the best choice. Closer to Egg Island so less boat travel. Go at 5:30pm when the birds are returning, which makes sense. Could not have had a better trip than we...More

The puffin cruise is about 1 1/2 hours long. The boat is safe and comfortable with great visibility from all seats. Binoculars were available to rent for a small fee. There was an Audubon society naturalist who helped us to identify the birds we saw...More

Others answered your specific questions. Call them to ensure puffins are still there as they usually leave Maine by Labor Day or shortly after.
