It was off season, so that was nice in the sense that there were few people there. I very much enjoyed waking up and going to the beach to watch the sun rise. I use to go here as a kid and loved it then, still a nice area and it appears to be family friendly with lots of small... More

This seaside resort must be very busy in summer, we were pleased we stayed in the area in October, as I'm not sure we'd have liked it as much if it was full to capacity.

Living near Salisbury, MA and Hampton, NH beaches, I never saw the need to go elsewhere. However, now that I have found Old Orchard Beach (OOB) I would always go the extra distance. Beautiful, clean and quiet beaches perfect for families.

We chose this beach to stop during our one day trip to the seaside. We wanted to go swimming and enjoy some time with the family. Everybody was happy: parking was easy, showers included in the parking fee, shops and attractions around, the views of the ocean and the Pier, sitting at the beach, enjoying waves and looking for seashells.

We decided to wonder off the highway as we had some time to kill and stumbled upon the adorable town. Driving in was colorfully tree filled and the houses historical looking. The beach was clean and while it was quite a dreary day, it was still wonderful to walk along. Would definitely stop and stay here some day.

Walked along Old Orchard Beach, on the Pier and in the town. Yummy candy store- with cotton candy, roasted nuts, fudge-that brings you back to the "old" days. Gift stores with local gifts. Street food-lobster rolls!

We stumbled upon Old Orchard Beach during a drive down the coast and were very pleasantly surprised at its size and the amount of offerings available when in season (until Columbus Day) there are midway games, rides, a fabulous pier with attractions and restaurants, and the Main Street is peppered with carnival and old school eateries that make lovely items... We visited Old Orchard Beach in off season so the beaches were wide, beautiful and perfect for a peaceful walk. I noticed several people had dogs and even though we don't have one I enjoyed watching them play in the surf and run circles around their owners. We got into town after 9pm so they must roll up the carpets... More
