The pier is a beautiful spot in the town to view the beach but it's filled with restaurants and a few shops so you can't just hang out on there for the view.

A nice place to hang out with a group of friends or a couples weekend get away. It reminds a little bit of Coney island amusement park. They're are shops, plenty to eat and drink, music and bands. Beware if decide to park near the...More

Fun little stores, restaurants, bars and entertainment. You can see the ocean below the floorboards, almost everywhere you go. fantastic seafood! Cute little shops and the staff everywhere, very friendly. Great views from the outside deck.

We went to the "infamous" OOB and it definitely was not what it was made out to be. The beach is small and the pier was old and nothing to brag about! The restaurants are over prices and drinks are watered down.

Crowded,, lots of fried food ,,, expensive,, 50 cents to go to the bathroom :( ,,, You cannot go all the way to the end,, it is a bar that has a cover charge,, maybe during the day,, but not at night

It's now just a reference point ; a place where people meet to go elsewhere. Nothing interesting now.

I was happy we arrived toward the end of the night so I could get some good photos of the sun setting against the pier. We walked the pier, just to say we did it and it was pretty cheesy with a lot of overpriced...More

The OOB Pier is iconic! Great to take your own photos, walk under and walk on while visiting the shops and restaurants on top! Bathrooms are available on the Pier, but be advised that you need to pay 50 cents to enter, they are privately...More

The Pier is historic and really cool! A must see if you are in the area. Eat on the Pier if you get a chance!

OOB needs to decide what it wants to be. We visited with our son recently and were really disappointed that it wasn't the family-friendly destination my husband remembers from his childhood. With a beach, kiddie rides, and a pier one might think OOB would be...More

I don't know. Does it have your photo and DOB? If it's been an issue elsewhere I would not "push my luck". Better yet... call them on your cell phone.

End of August is a wonderful time to visit. After Labor Day, the amusement park has limited hours. Most eateries are open until after Columbus Day.

There are many places to park on the street that turn over quickly and there are many parking lots priced only $5 or $10 for the day close to the beach. I lived in OOB for 13 years and I never paid to park.
