Featuring a world-class, operating collection of antique ground vehicles, engines and aircraft the Owls Head Transportation Museum is open seven days a week, year-round. Exhibits include "Faster: The Quest for Speed" featuring racing vehicles from some of New England's premiere collections. It had been a few years since I was there last. It has changed and was wonderful. I wish I lived closer. Very impressed with the displays.

I rented a car for the day, and the car rental agent recommended the museum as a stop. My expectations were not very high, and I could not have been more wrong. This is a fabulous place to visit. I have been to many museums...More

Take your time to enjoy every display in multiple rooms or schedule a ride on a biplane. This is a fantastic well maintained museum for all ages. It was much more than anyone expected in this little town hidden away just a short ride from...More

Large variety of cars, planes and motorcycles, plus history lessons. I thought I knew a lot but I learned a lot about aviation and aviation pioneers. Great way to spend 3-4 hours.

There is a great collection of vehicles and aircraft at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. There are several events during the year that are a must see. We went to the car and air show and it was the highlight of our weekend.

While there are certainly larger antique car museums, Owl's Head is both well presented and quite interesting. It's all a matter of quality over quantity, and this one is definitely quality. In addition to the cars, they also have a good collection of antique airplanes,...More

This attraction is truly special...very, very well-done. The exhibits are unusual and in mint condition, regardless of age. One of the nicest features is the encouragement to touch and "work" the exhibits. The museum is easy to navigate and truly covers diverse means of transportation,
