If you have never been to see the reversing falls at high tide. You don't know what you're missing! This is one of natural wonders that get our brains thinking. How does that do that?

After reading trip advisor reviews, we arrived at Reversing Falls Park about 45 minutes before high tide and stayed about 3 hours. It was a rainy Monday in September so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We set up a couple of comfy chairs with a golf umbrella between us (and our Boxer) and thoroughly enjoyed watching (and... More

Plan to sit and stay awhile. Down a short trail there are rocks that offer a nice viewing point to do just that. Just as impressive as seeing the change in the water level & flow direction is listening to it. When we first arrived the falls/rapids were really flowing and producing quite a roar. As the tide came in... More

What a great spot to watch the tides, just a little south of Pembroke on a nice country road with a few signs. No camping or toilets on site. Well worth visiting to view this area.

I just loved this place. Plan to be there about an hour (at least) before the scheduled high tide. We got there about 10 minutes before the scheduled high tide and missed the beginning of the phenomenon. It was still breathtaking to watch and we did catch some whitewater. Amazing how fast the water moves. We saw the famed seals... More

Off the beaten path, but catch it at the right tidal time & this confluence of opposing tidal flows is breathtaking! A true hidden gem!

We arrived about an hour before high tide in Eastport - that gave us time to get lost and re-find the trail that goes to the rock outcropping to watch the changing of the tides - it ends up being (guessing) about a half hour past when the high tide is at the coast. The falls are quite loud and... More

small park, no tables or benches, no fire rings. day use only. I think the neighbors take the signs down because they don't want tourist traffic going by the nice houses. decent parking and a short walk to the shore over uneven ground. reversing falls-- misleading because there are no falls to speak of just tidal flow against fresh water... A must go to... enjoy! Keep it a secret so it doesn't get to crowded. Shhhhh... watch the seals swim back in with the tide... feel your breath being sucked out of your lungs...

Well worth a visit. Driving the scenic route and saw the city sign about the reversing falls and made a stop. Despite all the reviews about being difficult to find it wasn't too bad with a gps. Ensure you are there at slack tide as the stillness and tranquility was very nice. The sign says no camping but we ran... More
