Overview
More
Victoria Mansion, also known as the Morse-Libby House, is the finest example of residential design from the pre-Civil War era in America. With superb architecture and well-preserved original interiors that were among the most lavish and sophisticated in their day, it is an unparalleled document of America’s highest aspirations in architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts. Our history, a quick tour, and our present-day efforts at restoring the Mansion convey an impression of the significance of this unique site, which is of national and even international importance.

The Victoria Mansion was beautiful, inside and out. We did the self guided tour, but there were many volunteers that were able to answer any questions. The house was rich with history and very elegant. You cannot take photos inside and they do offer discounts...More

Call ahead to be sure that the house is open and get guided tour times. The home is elegant and the guided tour quite interesting. We just wish that our group had been smaller.

The mansion is under renovations. $16pp for 5-10 minutes? Granted, there were docents around but nothing special. They have signs which state TIPS WELCOMED to pay for upkeep. Then what's the $16 for? Skip it.

Cool place to visit but you won't spend much time here. I found it worth it with the student discount but those with me paid full price and thought it was too much for the minimal amount you get to see. The employees were very...More

When I went it was a guided tour. Took about 30 minutes if I remember right and one went every 15 minutes. It was quite nice to hear the history and see what all they were doing. I believe it was $16 per person or somewhere... More

Tour shouldn't take more than an hour; you would have to check their website for their hours of operation.
