I visited the Fort numerous times as a kid and even though it was fun to run around, it wasn't well taken care of. The Fort has started to improve with age.

Fort Knox is a well preserved site, which you and your children will enjoy visiting. It was finished in 1869, and is named after Revolutionary War hero, Henry Knox. The cannons can be found everywhere on the site, and some are remarkable! These include Civil...More

My family and I (including our dog) were welcomed at this property. There's not a lot to see and do when traveling with your family pet, but this place hit the spot. We walked and explored the Fort for an hour and everyone enjoyed it....More

The views here are awesome, lots of history. They have a small museum at the very beginning that had lots of good information. As an accountant I wish they had copies of the payroll information that one could view in more detail, the picture on...More

We stopped here on a whim. Lots of history and the fort is in great shape. Highly recommend to visit. We are sorry we missed the Halloween festivities at the Fort.

I have visited more interesting spots, probably because there was actually fighting or use of the fort. Might be fun for kids to run around.

I preferred exploring Fort Knox to the bridge observatory by miles. It was really interesting and expansive! Plus, it was decorated for the Halloween haunted house that they do so it was extra creepy with all of the decorations. Really great place to explore and...More

Great place with awesome views, and a lot of history. The Fort is far bigger than it looks from the outside. It felt as if we walked miles and miles. Definitely bring a flash light, the tunnels aren’t lit and are a little unstable. There...More

Definitely worth checking out if you came for the observatory bridge. The fort is interesting and it’s fun wandering around all the tunnels and seeing how it was designed.

Hi, if you are on a tight schedule you can do both in no more than an hour. And of course, if you want to read all the panels at the museum or shop at the museum store, you'll need a little extra. Good luck and have fun

sorry to say I don't remember but I think it was more like $15 but you had the observatory and the battle scene at fort knox with a lot of walking around and the fort to see along with them shooting off cannon balls
