This is a beautiful scenic look out with a nice place to park your car. This is only a short way (1/2 mile or so) from Appalachian Trail. You can see lots of mountains and several lakes. It is a must see when visiting Maine.

I've been enjoying this view for 45 years and never tire of it. Western exposure makes it perfect for a sunset picnic. Take a stroll on the Appalachian trail which crosses the road at this point as well.

The fall colors and vantage point were astounding. Easy to find and park. Gorgeous view surrounding area including lake and mountains.

The State has done a nice job improving the turn out area and the road leading up the hill! The view is spectacular!

I've been up here in all kinds of weather - cloudy, rainy, snowy, sunny - the view is breathtaking in any season. It's hard to stay on the windy, twisty curvy road as you crane your neck to catch every last glimpse :)
