We spent a couple of hours visiting, and enjoying, this excellent art museum that focuses on Maine artists. The displays were well-curated and had good explanations and backgrounds. My favorite artwork? It was only as we were leaving that I spotted my favorite piece of...More

My artistic sons and I were blown away and loved seeing the process he went through to create his masterpieces. His sketches are masterpieces in and of themselves!

I've been vacationing in Rockland a couple times a year for 18 years, and always make a point to stop in at the Farnsworth. Although they're known for their Wyeth exhibits which never disappoint and are always changing, the museum has many other fine pieces...More

A perfect little balance to lobster filled days. They have a very nice collection and it is small enough that the kids didn't really have time to complain about being in an art museum. Would definitely recommend for people in the area. Right in the...More

This and the adjoining Wyeth Museum are not what you'd expect to find in a small Maine town. Nice collection displayed thoughtfully.

Right in downtown Rockland with neighboring gallery. Featuring the work of the Maine based Wyeth family. it offers much more. a first rate art museum on the mid-Maine coast. The museum has many guest artists and exhibits.

Probably best to go to their website. I THINK they are closed on Mondays but am not sure.
Beth just posted, "Olsen House in Camden is a must see” Unfortunately, the Olson House (watch the spelling) is in Cushing, Maine which is in the opposite direction from Camden. Can this post be fixed?
