We popped in for a quick look around on a rainy day walk down Main Street. The information was really educational and well done. Cute souvenirs are available that go towards their efforts. Well worth the pop in to check it out.

I love puffins and any tiny fuzzy sea animal. Project puffin had a baby puffin cam (squee), a sleepy, friendly dog, and offered many educational experiences. Definitely a must-stop in downtown Rockland.

The Visitor Center is an interesting overview of the ongoing puffin project. The movie they show is interesting and there are plenty of items to purchase to assist with the project. We signed up for the puffin tour which was kind of a bust. LOTS...More

Wonderful short video about the demise and reintroduction of Puffins. We learned a lot and really enjoyed our visit and would consider this a very worthwhile stop if you are in the area.

A complete exhibit on Puffins. A burrow that you can go in to see how they nest, maps of their territory and lots of information. Did you know that Puffins spend the winter at sea? They only come ashore to nest and raise their young

The Project Puffins Center doesn't have live puffins. The puffins nest on offshore islands and can only be seen by boat. There are a number of puffin cruises - we did one from Boothbay Harbor, but there are cruises from... More
