Seal Cove Auto Museum is an unexpected hidden gem for sure! Many one-of-a-kind cars from the brass era in perfect condition, completed with easy to read descriptions and stories of each car, bike or motorcycle. Friendly staff. When we went and through next year the "Engines of Change" exhibit was out, telling the story of the Suffrage movement and the role cars played in women's independence. Completely enjoyed our visit. For only $10!

My wife Paula took me to the Seal Cove Auto Museum today as a surprise daycation, after seeing a piece about this unique, local treasure on one of the morning news shows. The museum has a very nice collection of automobiles going back to the 1890’s. Many of them were brands unique to the northeastern US which I had never heard of, one even manufactured in Maine. The museum is staffed with volunteers ready to welcome you and answer your questions. It is well worth a visit!

After traveling over 7k miles and visiting 28 other car Museums this one rates right up there as one of the most interesting. Delightfully displayed with the addition of period clothing and advertising!

A fabulous car museum awaits on the west shore of Mt. Desert island. Friends and I took a stroll through the museum this past June hoping there might be some interesting cars. Wow! This place rivals any museum in the country. Great selection of vehicles from the past, with a great selection from the 20's and 30's. Some early powered bikes/motorcycles as well. Classic place to visit. Highly recommend!
